Amador County Veterans Organization is developing relationships with local small businesses and private corporations, since we have become the first business in Amador County to be certified as a Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise (DVBE), California Non-Profit Veteran Service Agency (NVSA).

We will be changing the way Veterans work in our community for all generations, by creating the AVCO Veteran jobs program for the 5,437 Veterans living in Amador County.

By this time next year when a Veteran calls Amador County Veterans Organization (ACVO) he or she will have access to our free programs and services for Veteran jobs, training, housing, and education entitlements available in our community. G

Grants, fundraising, Community Business Sponsors donation and merchandise consignment sales will fund our mission to create a community based pilot program for ACVO Veterans Jobs Program in Amador County.

We are starting to pick up steam and are beginning to reach out to local businesses to support Amador County's first ever for ACVO Veterans Job Program.

Our first charity golf event is the vessel to get our funding started and it is almost full. We are having a live band, 3 types of raffles, and BBQ luncheon following the golf tournament. Proceeds go to developing the 1,500 Square Foot Corporate headquarter office and shipping warehouse in Jackson, CA.

Comments on the Military and Business Ownership

After suffering major injuries and no longer able to participate in combat ops as a Marine 0811 Artillery Section Chief, I volunteered as the MCI Clerk in the Battery Training office. Promoted to Battery Training NCO and was award a Commendation for writing, designing and implementing a new SOP with a Database for Battery Training operations. This task was accomplished while I underwent several major surgeries. What I learn is a disability is only debilitating if you let it.
